Figs

Summary:
Fresh or dried, this has been a favorite breakfast food, snack and dessert of Mediterranean countries for thousands of years. Figs are high in sugar, but they also contain a whopping 5 grams of fiber—4 of which are insoluble—per serving. They also have the highest overall mineral content of all commonly fruits. This fat-free food should find its way to your table as a substitute for those high-calorie, high-fat cookies everyone likes to dip in their milk.
