Posted: February 16

Summary:
Historically used to treat hangovers and fertility at the start of modern times, the almond has a new role to play in the prevention of heart disease. Researchers at Tuft University found that the meat of the almond contains Vitamin E and the skin polyphenolics, both powerful antioxidants. Taken together, the compounds were synergistic in there protection of cholesterol oxidation. The lesson here is don’t peel your almonds, don’t drink too much and see a fertility specialist if your having difficulty conceiving.
