Aerobics

by Pierre S Aoukar, MD and Hratch L Karamanoukian, MD
Posted: February 16

You might think aerobics is only for women, but this maybe precisely the reason why men get heart disease, on average, one decade before women do. Aerobics is aimed at improving cardiorespiratory endurance and body composition. Large body movements performed continuously keep the heart rate elevated. Again, this helps the heart pump more efficiently while you’re not exercising, which for everyone constitutes most of the day. So, men, don’t hesitate putting on your Spandex and hitting those Step classes; and women, don’t stop going, you could meet the man of your dreams.
